BDC

An abbreviation for Before Diminished Calissae. One of the two time periods tracked by the common Aedelorian calendar. This dating method counts the number of years prior to the Withering.

Calissae

(kæl.ɪ.saɪ) A collective exonym for all giants and dragons. Having both draconic and giant linguistic roots, the word means doom of the world.

D

DC

An abbreviation of Diminished Callisae. One of the two time periods tracked by the common Aedelorian calendar. This is a dating method which counts the number of years after the Withering.

Einithain

(aɪn.ɪ.θeɪn) A member of the illustrious order of hippogriff riders from Duntry in the Valdarian Empire.

Gydhois

(gɪd.wɑː) Someone who participates in the faith of the Bronze Blood, which is particularly popular in the Valdarian Empire.

J

Jynra

(dʒɪn.rɑː) A collective term for entities on the highest tier of the Aedelorian pantheon. Jynra is both singular and plural. Its origins are draconic and means above all.

Planetouched

A collective term for mortal beings who have been mutated by one of the upper, lower, or elemental planes.

S

Shurfa minal

(ʃɜːr.fʌ mɪn.ɒl) A platform intended to act as a final resting place in traditional Tarshan culture. It means terrace of dust.

Spellsmith

A mage or wizard who makes a living by enspelling or enchanting objects. This term is particularly popular throughout the Valdarian Empire, where the term enchanter is taboo.
